A growing trend all over the U.S. from New York to Oregon, these little gems are redefining minimal living. Tiny homes reduce clutter with creative storage units, are environmentally friendly and offer efficacy living without sacrificing high-end amenities. It’s no wonder these small abodes are making a huge impact.

Selser Schaefer Architects designed this concept for a Tiny Home Community that could be site adapted to recreational sites around the southwest. This first Tiny Home Community is located on the beautiful shores of Grand Lake.

Our client’s vision

– Create a unique setting of “pocket neighborhoods” with 10 to 12 homes arranged around a communal space to foster gatherings.

– Take advantage of the natural beauty of the sites by orienting communities to natural vistas near walking trails.

– Include amenities such as fire pits, landscaped communal lawns and event spaces such a barns or outdoor pavilions.

Floor plans range from 1 bed – 1 bath to 2 bed – 2 bath plus loft. Although small, these homes come with high-end finishes and smart home features. Modular construction allows the homes to be manufactured off-site and assembled quickly in the field.

Crafted around an intimate, human scale, these tiny home communities offer the perfect recreational getaway—one with a sense of belonging and a desire to linger.
