It’s said the best indicator of future performance is past behavior. So when the district made the decision to expand the Freshman Academy they returned to Selser Schaefer Architects. Our firm completed a Fine Arts expansion in 2012 and the district knew this renovation was going to pose a difficult challenge — a challenge we were eager to take on.
Because of our collaborative approach with district and school officials, we were able to craft a new public identity for the building, create functional spaces to accommodate specific needs, and meet the tight project budget and schedule.
The 50,000 SF project includes the media center, administrative offices, teachers’ lounge, classrooms, student computer help desk, and a new Student Union Hall.
