A New Leaf is a remarkable non-profit that provides its clients with independent life skills, marketable job training, community-based vocational placement, and residential services through horticultural therapy.
Selser Schaefer Architects understands and respects the importance of A New Leaf’s mission and is delighted to be charged with the design of a 50-acre site in Owasso. This new development will provide on-site residential, administrative, and retail functions to support the organization’s programs.
Inspired by the farmland it is sited on, the agrarian development will include multiple residential structures, a recreation/cafeteria building, administrative and maintenance buildings, a livestock barn, and a retail store all centered on horticulture production.
At the heart of this community will be “agrihoods,” which integrate agriculture into residential living. Dwelling structures will be organized around two central communal planting fields.
