The Selser Schaefer Architects’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Scholarship Program was created to support and mentor students from historically underrepresented demographics in architecture and interior design.
This scholarship includes a one-time award of $2,500 to offset the student’s tuition and related expenses at their current academic institution (one scholarship will be awarded each year). Additionally, the scholarship recipients will receive a paid summer internship at Selser Schaefer Architects in Tulsa, OK (a program requirement). Specific dates for the nine-week program will be announced at the time of the scholarship award.
Applicants must be a current undergraduate (at least a junior level/fourth-year standing) student in an accredited architecture or interior design program in the United States and must still be an enrolled student when the scholarship award is applied to tuition in fall 2021.
Candidates should have a current GPA of 3.0 or better.
Students who are of historically underrepresented communities, including, but not limited to Black/African American, Hispanic, Alaskan Native or American Indian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and LGBTQ+ students, are eligible to apply.
