TULSA BOYS' HOME
The unique needs of Oklahoma's oldest group home for troubled boys presented Selser Schaefer Architects with an exciting challenge. Each of the 16 buildings are interconnected with a walking path and landscaped sitting areas. The result has the essence of a secure village surrounded by pastures and rolling hills.
New construction involved six residential care cottages, a training center, chapel, and a staff residence. Seven existing buildings underwent extensive renovation to complement the operational changes brought by the new cottages and training center.
