THOMAS RESTAURANT (Completion April 2007)
A landmark in the small community of Pryor, Oklahoma. When fire destroyed the original structure, Selser Schaefer Architects was given a photo album, a sketch on a napkin and challenged to not only rebuild but to recreate the famous family-owned eatery.
Working closely with the owner we were able to create a new facility that will capture the aesthetic of the original eatery, and bring the 5800 sq.-ft. building in line with modern building codes. Through the careful and imaginative use of color, materials, and technology, the new facility will remain true to the original restaurant's character and aesthetic.
